Christmas Destash

I know July is past, just a few days ago, but all the 'Christmas in July' sales got me to thinking.

I have lots of Christmas fabrics in my stash,
and I do not plan to use them!   So, I will list them in my supply shop
and hope that  someone else would use them!
Watch for the listings in the next day or two in my Pruitt Supply  Etsy shop.
Since I have made several items from these fabrics, I also have scraps!  I will also list one lot of Christmas scraps!

While I was going thru my stash, I found a a screen printed Santa on muslin.  (What have you found in your stash that you forgot that you had?)  I bought it at an estate sale a couple of years ago, thinking I might finish it,  I can see it finished in red thread! I love Redwork and I love Santa!    I collect Santas and display my collection at Christmas. Still deciding if I will finish it or not!

What do you think?
Should I finish it or add it to my destash section of my shop?

Sorting and cleaning . . .

Ever have your studio/craft room feel like it is "falling in on you"?  Mine had become unruly and felt like that since my storage is 'up to the ceiling'---literally!   My fabric storage is in crates on top of my tall dressers.  I have little space in my apartment so I  utilize the space from the top of the dressers nearly to the ceiling. Everything was in disarray, so I cleaned and sorted everything and look at it now! (don't look at my messy bulletin board--I didn't clean it!)

. . . . and while I was sorting colors, I was inspired to make a new quilt! Show you that later in the week!

Work in progress, a question, and a prize!

Working lately on half market aprons.  Here one that I think turned out so cute!  I just love this chili pepper fabric!

Since it is Spring, I wanted to use up the yellow fabric.  Here is another combination with the yellow:

I had used this gray fabric to make my DIL an allover apron some time ago, and had some remnants.  Also working on some other combinations:

but . . .
would like your opinion on this next one. It's a cute multicolor print of fancy birds on a white/cream background.  What do you think? What color do I put with it? Try not to be influenced by the blue quilt background :) Options are a pale green gingham, t a bright teal scroll print, light teal butterfly flower print, red/salmon texture print, or an allover tiny floral pale teal print.  Or should I keep looking?

Not so easy is it?  Sometimes the best combination for a particular fabric is hard to choose!   Let me know what you think in the comments and I will share some finished apron pictures next Thursday!  I might even send a set of coasters to one lucky commenter!
Good luck!
And . . . Thanks!

JOP - Fabricaholic

(This is for Jumping Off Places.) The texture of the fabric was intoxicating, I knew it was expensive. Black, soft, soothing velvet! I wanted to buy it; I though about it. But I turned away, looking for something that would save my pocketbook bottom line. There was moleskin, at half the price, that looked much the same, except not really as plush. I walked down the isles, looking at brocades, crushed panne, and even embroidered satins. I had a project in mind and tried to picture it with these alternative fabrics. Finally, I knew what I would do--I'd try the project with the a lesser fabric first. Sort of a practice project, instead of possibly wasting the expensive supplies on my first try. I pulled the bolt, walked to the counter with the moleskin. "A quarter yard please."
