Hooray! Back to Blogging!

Well, It's not Spring . . . . It's the first day of Autumn!  Long Hiatus! I won't explain, just a few pics of what I have been up to:

Spring trip with my daughter to see my mom, friends and also visit my dad's & my first husband's grave-sites--

And a trip to our old home place in the Sierra Nevada foothills full with springtime flowers--

Well, you get the idea.  I've been busy with trips, health issues, and plans for moving that fell through (pooh), and now getting ready for the holidays!

I'd love to share some of my other adventures for the last six months-- trips to the beach, cosplay costuming, picnics, etc. and I will in future posts.  For now, it is great to be back to blogging!  Also, Watch for updates on my new "house" line of gifts with a sewing tutorial or two thrown in.  Stay tuned!

And as a . . .

Is it Spring yet?

The other day, I cut open a spaghetti squash, readying it for cooking.  What I  found seemed to be saying:

"Is it Spring yet? "

The seeds were sprouting, inside the squash!  I'd never seen this before.  Look closely:

Even from inside a squash, it's known that Spring is coming . . .

Textile Tuesday! New Cuff!

Sat down the other day and made a new cuff.  My youngest daughter showed up that afternoon and she commented, later in the day, on how fast I was progressing on the cuff since I was working all the time I was visiting! I finished it in one day!

When she came over, I was doing the embroidery work with stitching and french knots:

A little "unclear" about my finished product, but I kept working . . . adding yo-yos for a Spring look:

Also, pearl buttons, and sequins for the finish:

Reminds me of a sun shiny Spring day! I just listed it here! Wonder if I should make another one??!!
