My hubby needed a prayer shawl to play the part of Aaron Jastrow from Herman Wouk's War and Remembrance movie series about WWII. He needed it for a monologue on Palm Sunday. We looked online, but the shipping time was way too long.
We found a Jewish supply store in our area, checked the hours online and trekked across town to maybe buy a shawl. We waited for an hour and a half, because the sign on the door said the clerk was out and would be back by 2 pm. We finally left at 2:30. I told hubby I could make him one, so here are the results: (sometimes I feel like I can make anything! :-) BTW, he did an awesome job with his performance!

Easter Fact
FACT -- FACT -- FACT -- FACT During the days preceding Easter, Napoleon Bonaparte was about to overtake the Austrian village of Feldkirch. The villagers gathered to pray for deliverance on the Eve of Easter. On Easter morning the church bells rang to signal the day of worship. Napoleon heard the bells but didn't realize it was Easter. He thought those bells meant the Austrian armies had come to reinforce the village, so he sounded retreat.
