Haiku Challenge Day 28

Abigail's Attic,
a place to come and visit
the thoughts from my loft.

Any writing exercise,
 is what you will experience,
Since I love to try and
See what I will get!

A story may emerge,
You  never know,
so stayed tuned,
a delight is sure to show!

Haiku Challenge Day 23

The joy of giving
coming from the heart's delight
brings smiles to each face.

Brings smiles to each face,
recipient and giver
reap a life so full.

Reap a life so full?
then sacrifice a bit for
The joy of giving.

Haiku Challenge Day 21

What's dedication?
Service without a whimper?
devotion sincere?

What's dedication?
Fully, freely do
the passion we own.

Haiku Challenge Day 20

Imagination:
oh how sweet to live in thee,
life is perfect there.

Imagination:
in my mind's eye a homestead,
comfort for old age.

Imagination:
little farm on the outskirts
raising berries sweet.

Imagination:
this family farm includes
Daughter's family.

Imagination:
farm gift shop with wares so fine
sustenance and fun.

Imagination:
in my mind's eye a homestead,
life for my old age.

P.S. This haiku set corresponds to my writing.  See the Abby's story tab on my home page.

Haiku Challenge Day 18

Want, hunger, famish,
blessed from ravenous demand,
words I do not know.

Others less lucky,
they must receive our bounty,
Giving more, I pray.

Not pray with words but
entreat the heart to do good,
in generous deed.

We must, we must do
for all craving sustenance,
what we can, today!

Haiku Challenge Day 17

All the green says go
but I must wait, wait until eve
hope will come and dine.

Haiku Challenge Day 16

Not a fun word--SIN.
No one wants to own up to
their own wrongdoing.

We are not perfect, not one.
Or this world would be more fun,
with no one doing wrong
and no one having to be right.

Not a fun word--SIN.
No one wants to own up, be
honest with themselves.

Now if we would honest be,
telling ourselves the truth,
We would ourselves be free
from the quilt that is the proof.

And furthermore . . .
it is my conviction that sin is against a loving holy creator.
Psalms 51:3-6
3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
and done what is evil in your sight,
so that you are proved right when you speak
and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
New International Version of the Bible

Felt Conversation hearts by PruittCreations

a piece of my heart!

Today is the day
my valentine brings to me
A little surprise!

Today is the day
loves expression in the deed,
sent for all to see!

Today is the day
We'll all remember so well,
Love personified!

Eye to eye we see
to the soul of another,
understanding be.

This above all else
Is the heart of the matter,
To Love, heals all ills.

Mom told me to use

A measly hat rack!

Use your head,
Fool!
To think it through!

Haiku Challenge Day 5

This Haiku is for a February Challenge from a blog called Few Miles.  Today's challenge is an Acrostic Haiku; I thought this one appropriate for a Sunday.

Gorgeous things He made
Organic organisms
Draped in earth and sky

Haiku Challenge Day 4

I have decided to participate in a Haiku Challenge--see sidebar badge--and I have already missed the first three days, but I will try this from here on. It's something new for me!  Should be fun!  Don't know if I will participate everyday, but here goes:

Love is the answer
To a multitude of words
Full of hate and gross.
